All offices will be closing effective immediately due to inclement weather and dangerous road conditions. We will reopen at normal time on Tuesday 1/9/2018.

What is Allergic Asthma?

Allergic asthma is asthma that flares up when you breathe in certain allergens including pollen, mold, animal dander and dust. Other triggers for allergic asthma include smoke, air pollution, strong smells, dusty rooms and cold air. Allergic asthma is one of the most common forms of asthma in adults and children.

Symptoms of Allergic Asthma

The following are common symptoms of allergic asthma.

  • Wheezing
  • Coughing
  • Tightness in your chest
  • Fast or noisy breathing
  • Shortness of breath
  • Diagnosis and Treatment for Allergic Asthma

    The diagnosis for allergic asthma may include any of the following:
  • Blood Testing (IgE)
  • Allergy testing
  • The treatment for asthma will be determined by your doctor and usually includes control, prevention and rescue medications for management of asthma symptoms and attacks along with the creation of a customized asthma action plan.
