Sharing what I just posted on my Facebook page. I have been dealing with Premier Allergist in Towson for over a year now regarding an allergy serum autorenewal sent out for my daughters allergy shots during March/April Covid shutdown when our family was forced to switch healthcare providers due to loss of job. No one was in the allergy office answering phones last year when I called repeatedly to let them know of the situation and cancel our shots but the autorenewal in place was still working to send off for a new bottle of serum and submit the claim to a health provider we were no longer with. Since we had to switch from CareFirst to Kaiser Permanente we were out of luck to submit to our new healthcare provider since it was out of network.
I have finally given in and paid the full $552.00 cost of the serum. I feel defeated. I’m sure this situation was one of a kind but that being the case, I would expect a little more empathy from my doctors office during a pandemic.
To anyone out there who may need allergy care for yourself or your child, I would strongly recommend NOT going to Premier Allergist in Towson.
