I come for allergy shots on Tuesday/Thursday and consistently wait for 10 to 20 minutes or more BEFORE being administered my shot when there are few or no other people waiting for a shot because the staff are doing other things instead of prioritizing allergy shot walk ins. I have consistently watched things like paperwork that could be done later or multiple phone calls getting done while myself and other patients are waiting up to 30 minutes before even receiving our shots. I have never been to an allergist that would leave you to wait for such an extended period when there wasn’t a line for shots. Considering we have to wait 15 or more minutes after the shots this is incredibly time consuming and irritating. Because the office has no after-work hours this is occuring when people have to take time off of work and need to return to their day expediently. I have spoken with multiple other patients while waiting at these times and they have all reflected similar experiences and frustrations. The staff needs to prioritize the shot walk-ins and keep them expedient before handling work that is not time-sensitive.
