I am sending a note regarding a recent appointment at the Alexandria office. I had an appointment scheduled for September 21 at 9am. I understand you have a 24 hour cancellation policy. I had a family emergency that required me to go out of town last minute and needed to cancel the appointment. As there is no electronic way to cancel, I called the office number provided and after getting voicemail, I left a message on September 20 at 9am notifying the office of my need to cancel the appointment. I understand that was close to the 24-hour period, but as I said, this was a last minute cancellation. I was charged the $50 no show, which I just paid. But as I tried to call and cancel before the 24-hour period but was unable to reach anyone and was dealing with the family emergency, it is frustrating as a patient that I am able to confirm an appointment via text but not cancel one. Even more so since I am able to confirm and cancel via email or text for other medical appointments. I am not sure this feedback will actually reach anyone but thank you for your time in reading this. This review is not a reflection on the NP I saw, but on the comunication and the ability to reach the front staff in a timely manner.
