SHOW UP!
I’ve only recently started getting allergy shots (started in June), and today was the THIRD time I went for my injection, only to find the office closed during business hours. It happened in Arlington the first two times, so I requested my serums be transferred to Alexandria, only to go to the Alexandria office today (Sept 2nd) and find it also closed during business hours, a crowd of people outside – one of whom called the main line on behalf of us all to confirm no one would be showing up. I’m sure I’m not the only busy person who put off getting the allergy help they need because of how big a commitment it is to make time for weekly injections for months on end. You guys make that difficult commitment an impossible one when you decide to just take off early before a holiday weekend, your patients be damned. (And yes, the second time this happened to me in Arlington, it was the Thursday before 4th of July weekend – I mean, seriously no one expents you all to work ON the holiday, but you can’t honor your office hours in the preceding days??)
I was out of town last week, and will be out of town most of next week, so am now seriously behind on my shots. I will be inquiring about how to transfer my serums to a new provider as soon as I’m back, or if that’s not possible, starting over again with a new provider.
