Why is this office so inept?! This office is closed on Fridays, so WHY do you allow patch testing to be done here? Because of this, instead of patch testing taking 5 business days it will take 7. Today was my 2nd visit where I had the patches removed and the nurse tells me I need to have someone photograph my back on Saturday. That was never mentioned as being needed when I made appointments to do this. It’s literally not my problem that your office is closed on Fridays and messed up this process. I did ask to do the patch testing out of a different location that is open 5 days a week to avoid all this stupidity and I was told I couldn’t because I already saw a provider in Fairfax and the testing has to be completed by the ordering physician. Also stupid. If I knew I’d need patch testing and that the fairfax offic isn’t set up to do this I never would have made an appointment there in the first place. But alas my crystal ball is broken and here we are. Isn’t the purpose of an electronic medical record so your medical information is portable and the patient isn’t chained to one provider or faciltiy?
Your nurses all lack basic common sense. At my appointment on Monday I was left face down on a table that is made for someone who is maybe 5’2” tall at most without a pillow. There is also not a privacy curtain so when the door opens my bare body is on display for anyone in the hallway. Real excellent. At today’s appointment the nurse gave me a paper shirt that was way too small for me (yes I am bigger but I’m betting your office has a variety of sizes of paper shirt) and I was using my actual shirt to try and cover myself in addition to the paper shirt and she never offered to get me something that fit better. ZERO COMMON SENSE. Also, the walls in your clinic need some serious insulation. I could hear the whole conversation between the doc-patient next to me. I heard all about the patient’s itchy spots on his arm and forehead, his use of a rescue inhaler, I know that he’s a criminal investigative attorney and I probably could have figured out his name with more time. Very HIPPA compliant.
