Good morning!
I am a patient at the Pikesville/Woodholme center and receive my Rx for a bi-monthly medication. Every 6 months I run into the same problem. The prior authorization expires and I stop receiving my monthly medication shipments. When this happens, I typically must call the office a few times in order to re-initiate the PE, even though they receive advance notice of the need for PE renewal. Almost every time I call, I am told that this will be taken care of or that I will receive a call back, however I rarely receive any follow-up (the last time being 12/22 at 10:09 AM). Being a physician myself, I understand how laborious and redundant the prior auth is, so I certainly sympathize with the office staff! However a track record of giving false reassurances and poor responsiveness should net be accepted. As a result of these delays, I have missed my medication administration on a few occasions. While the office is nice enough to offer me to come to the office and pick up samples, this is not always offered, and either way.
Please address this with the office staff. I will try calling again tomorrow (which is the date of my scheduled administration, having missed the last dose 2 weeks ago), but this needs to be addressed with the office staff.
Thank you!
